About the Project

Counting 12 years  since the completion of Norman Foster’s iconic office tower in Sydney, the building owners Investa Property Group appointed Martin & Ollmann to design new change room and shower facilities for the tenants of this 43,000sqm office tower.

Utilizing part of the original, over-sized loading dock, the new facility accommodates male and female change rooms with 16 shower cubicles and over 200 lockers, next to a large, secure bike storage area.  The change rooms set a new bench-mark in design with the internally illuminated lockers with translucent doors.  The main functional element of the space is the key design feature and lighting source. Occupied lockers are immediately recognised, and their often colourful contents activate the space.

Simple, high-quality materials, the subtle colour scheme and well-considered lighting design give this space a minimal luxury; the individual shower cubicles add a splash  with coloured wall tiles.
