About the Project

The design proposes a 140m high office building with large, naturally ventilated floor plates over a ground plane that maximises street front activation and connectivity into the heart of the city block.

The curtain wall design responds to the challenge of a predominantly west facing office facade, with the double skin façade allowing maximum views and transparency while accommodating highly efficient and adaptable shading for the low western sun. The automated inner facade is operable to allow natural ventilation, and the distinct design of the overlapping external skin gives the building its identity.

Ground plane and podium maximise street level activities and the activation of the existing laneway network.

This design City of Sydney excellence competition was a collaboration of Martin & Ollmann with Collins & Turner.
